Erik Rutherford

We seem to be spending more and more time watching screens, surfing the net and watching websites like youtube.

Erik Rutherford, has started a website where he tries to make sense of the video images we constantly see online. It's ryeberg.com

He also has a live version of this process and you can catch this on the Push festival this weekend in Vancouver.
You can hear that conversation after the 8:00 news on Sun. (Jan 27)

Jane Austen Anniversary

It was 200 years ago TO THE DAY, in fact, that Jane Austen published her novel, "Pride and Prejudice".     Many of you know the story: Mr. Darcy... Elizabeth Bennet and her family... and some incidents involving money, class and marriage.

After the 7:30 news Sun (Jan 27) you can hear a conversation with two literary scholars -- and Jane Austen fans: Michelle Levy is an associate professor with the Department of English at Simon Fraser University and Alex Dick is an assistant professor with UBC's English department.
