Loneliness, isolation and depression are epidemic in Canada's long-term care facilities.

Therapist and researcher Kristine Theurer worked with frail seniors for years, knowing that something was missing in the way caregivers and the system try to help them.

She has developed a new model of psycho-social intervention that empowers elders and people with dementia in powerful ways. It's called The Java Music Club....
