Saying good-bye to Shirley Valentine

Nicola as Shirley in a bathing suit
For more than 20 years Nicola Cavendish has been performing Shirley Valentine (by Willy Russell) to critical acclaim across the country.  She's received a Jessie and a Dora Mavor Moore award for her performance.

But now Nicola has some new projects in mind and she's saying good-bye to Shirley. Your last chance to see her in the role is May 15 to 20 at the McPherson Playhouse in Victoria. (Blue Bridge Repertory Theatre)

I had a chance for a great long chat with Nicola recently, about Shirley, about acting, about  becoming a widow and about seeking new challenges.  I enjoyed our conversation so much!
