Blooming Heather

Heather is a great addition to a BC garden. Depending where you are in the province it blooms in winter and early spring, when little else is creating any colour and in the summer too.  And it comes it a whole range of hues.  And it's fairly easy to please.

Elaine Scott is a master gardener and an expert on growing heathers. You can contact her via the site for the BC Heather Society.

The Vancouver Island Heather Society is holding their annual sale on March 31 at Cobble Hill Farmer's Institute Hall.  Get there early for the best selection of heather for sale.
