Mohammed Hanif in the Bookclub

aliceimages.jpeg

Mohammed Hanif is a journalist and award winning novelist who lives and works for the BBC
in  Pakistan.  His latest novel is set in Karachi and tells the story of a nurse who works in the chaos of one of the city's busiest hospitals. It's a story laced with humor, sadness and senseless violence.

The Guardian newspaper has this to say about Our Lady of Alice Bhatti..."Relentlessly readable...A comedy for those who think. a tragedy for those who feel...Perhaps Pakistan's brightest English language voice"

You can hear our Book Club session with Hanif and my cohost, award winning author Anosh Irani after the 8 am news on Saturday.
