When Quietness Came: A Neuroscientist's Personal Journey With Schizophrenia

Erin Hawkes heard the voices when she was young but spent years dealing with delusions and was hospitalized several times before doctors diagnosed her with paranoid schizophrenia in her 20s.

The Vancouver-area resident shares her experience with schizophrenia in her new book, When Quietness Came: A Neuroscientist's Personal Journey With Schizophrenia. I got a chance to speak with her about that journey. My conversation with Erin will air on Saturday Sept. 8th, just after 7:30 am.
