MacPherson School, and St. Joseph School. It is bounded to the west by Range Lake Road, to the north by Woolgar Avenue and Taylor Road, and to the south and east by city limits. Incumbent MLA Dave Ramsay will re-election in the district he won in the 2003 election after defeating two other candidates to succeed former speaker Tony Whitford, who retired that year. (Whitford is now commissioner of the Northwest Territories.) Voter turnout in Kam Lake tends to be low, although it was above 65% in 2003.
