Riding Profile: It's a working middle class residential area, which has a large number of apartment buildings. It includes Crichton Park, Albro Lake, Wallis Heights, Micmac Village, Tufts Cove and Shannon Park. In the 2003 redistribution, it gained the area north of Lake Banook and north of Hawthorne Street.

Political History: The riding once held the record of lowest voter turnout on election day. The NDP has held the riding since 1998, but before that it flipped between LIB and PC.


1999:	NDP Jerry Pye defeats PC Jane MacKay by 1,045 votes.
1998:	NDP Jerry Pye defeats LIB Gloria McCluskey by 449 votes.
1993:	LIB Sandy Jolly defeats ND Jerry Pye by 423 votes.
