Current MLA: Jim Smith (LIB) - not running Riding Profile: Primarily a middle-class, residential section of Dartmouth, it gained areas west of Settle Lake and east of Lucien Drive in the 2003 boundary redistribution. The riding includes homes along Lake Micmac, as well as a major shopping district on Main Street and the Akerley campus of the Nova Scotia Community College. The riding is home to the Shubie Park campground and Fairbanks Interpretation Centre, as well as the neighbourhoods of Westphal and Port Wallace along the Waverley Road. The population is 21,330 and the average income is $30,070.
