Team CBC Photo 2012
It's the final countdown! Blue Nose weekend starts in just three days, and we know you're all ready to giv'er all you've got.
Each of us has set our goals, trained hard, surprised ourselves in ways we never imagined, and felt a huge sense of accomplishment as we achieved success throughout our training. Congratulations to all on a job well done. And the best is yet to come. No matter what event you're participating in, as a walker or a runner, take it all in - the adrenaline of the start line, the cheers of encouragement along the route and the overwhelming emotion as you finish. You've earned it.Fun Activity - Thursday, May 16, 6 p.m.
This week, instead of meeting for a group walk/run, we have another fun Team CBC activity planned. We will be joining our friends at the Halifax Citadel National Historic Site and the 78th Highlanders for a fun warm-up exercise. Don't worry, we won't be hard on you! We're planning to do some video and still photographs for social media. And our friends Myles (from Blue Nose), Parka (from Parks Canada) and Bo (from Bo on the Go, CBC Television) will all be there too.
We will be meeting at our usual time at 6 p.m. in front of the CBC building and walking up to Citadel Hill. We want as many Team CBCers as possible so clear your calendars, strap on your running shoes and come join the fun! And be sure to wear your Team CBC jersey! Important things to know
Here are some key details you need to know for this weekend:
- Team CBC Kit pick-up is Friday, May 17 and Saturday, May 18 at the Goodlife Fitness Expo in the CBC booth at the WTCC. You will also be able to pick up and activate your Blue Nose race bib and Blue Nose shirt at the expo. Please note there will be no Team CBC kit pickup on Sunday, May 19.
- This year's Team CBC photo will be taken on Sunday, May 19 at 7:30 am sharp inside the Metro Centre. Our meeting spot will be in a section of the lower bowl marked by a red and white CBC banner. We hope to see as many of your smiling faces as possible!
- Don't forget to bring in a gently used pair of running shoes to help build Shoe Mountain. You can drop them off either at the CBC Radio building on Sackville Street or at the WTCC during race weekend.
If you have any questions, don't forget you can contact Chantal anytime at 902-420-4306 or by email, or drop by the CBC booth at the Blue Nose Expo.
Good luck to everyone and thank you for being a part of Team CBC.
