Lots of audience participation with folk singing, stomping and playing percussion on stage with the Booties. And there's even some cool choreography.

Wherever you are, at approximately 9:20 p.m. on Saturday, July 21st, take a moment to ring a bell, bang some cymbals (pots and pans will work), honk your car horn, or give a shout out to celebrate ships in our province.  Your noise-making efforts will coincide with the finale of the Tall Ships Orchestra's performance of Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture, complete with cannons, church bells and fireworks on the Halifax Waterfront.

CBC Nova Scotia encourages you to keep your camera handy during your celebrations, and then e-mail your photo or video showing how you celebrated ships in Nova Scotia to cbcnovascotia@cbc.ca.  You could win a $150 gift certificate from CBC Shops.  Some of the entries will be posted on CBC Nova Scotia's Facebook page.
