Short Film Faceoff
April 16 to May 21, 2008
CBC Television is showcasing an exciting six-part series of some of the finest Atlantic short films, hosted by Matt Rainnie. The television audience will get a chance to vote for their favourite in the fifth week of the six-week series.
Starting Wednesday, April 16 at 7:00 p.m. (AT) viewers can tune in to the first ever SHORT FILM FACEOFF, a presentation with the Atlantic Film Festival Association. Twelve films have been pre-selected from the Atlantic Film Festival's Shorts Galas.
In Week 5, May 14th, the public voting begins. The audience will be invited to dial a toll-free number, 1-877-876-3636, for their favourite of the top four short finalists.
Once voting is tabulated, the winning film will be announced on the final show, May 21. The winning filmmaker receives a CBC production deal towards their next film.
