Every year, your local CBC collects frozen turkeys (and vegetarian alternatives) so every family in Newfoundland & Labrador can enjoy a delicious turkey dinner for the holidays. And for every turkey donated, our community partner, Canada Bread Company Ltd., will donate a unit of breadcrumbs! No turkey dinner is complete with out all of the fixin's!
The CBC Turkeys for Christmas Drive runs throughout the province from December 2 - 23rd. If you're in St. John's, you can make your donation to CBC at 95 University Avenue on Monday to Friday, from 8:45 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.
Click here to donate online. Every $25 raised is the equivalent of one turkey for a family this Christmas.
For every gobble, gobble (turkey) we receive, Anthony Germain and the St. John's Morning Show will provide a coffee or hot chocolate (while quantities last), courtesy of Rocket Bakery. Why not make your donation LIVE on air!
CBC Radio One Morning Show Events - listen to your local CBC Radio One Morning Show for information on turkey drive events happening in your area.
A chance to drop off your frozen turkeys at the CBC building in St. John's on 95 University Avenue. Your favorite CBC personalities will be there to greet you and high-five you for your generous donation. Our friends at Kids' CBC will also be there - Daniel Tiger and Super Why!
CBC Newfoundland & Labrador will present the Junior Turkey Spirit Award to the K-12 school that donates the most turkeys, and the Turkey Spirit Award to the group or organization that donates the most turkeys. Donations must be submitted by Monday, December 16 to be considered. Presentations will be awarded on December 19. Click here for more information

Do you have a turkey recipe you want to share? What about a turkey song or dance that is so hilarious we just HAVE to see it! Perhaps you want to show us how you take part in the CBC turkey drive. It's simple. If you have a photo or video that has anything and everything to do with turkeys, send it our way. And we'll put it up in our website.
