Feature: Reaching Jayden

What do you do when you can't reach your child? When he is trapped in a world of his own?

The mother of Jayden Woodsworth, 5, turned to music. Jayden has autism and his mother was looking for a way to connect him to the world outside himself.

At Secret Chords Music Therapy, Anita Ayling and Joanna Parsons use music to reach out to people like Jayden who need an alternative way to express themselves.

The CBC's Amy Stoodley went to the studio to see a therapy session with Jayden. Photos by the CBC's Darryn Power.
