Dry Air Next Week?

Hey Folks,

Finally, after a extended couple of weeks of clouds, flurries, showers, freezing rain, freezing drizzle and everything in between, we may finally have some drier air sinking in mid-next week.

The forecast models have been pretty strong the last couple of days with an area of High pressure sinking South out of Greenland and into the Province.

The drier air along with perhaps even some sunshine should arrive in Labrador on Monday and into Tuesday with Newfoundland getting into the action Tuesday or Wednesday and into Thursday.

Again, long range forecasts in this Province can be kind of like betting on the lottery... however it's pretty looking good right now.

Have a great weekend!

Ryan

Love your weather forecasts. You are one of the best. I have one little beef. The name Stephenville Crossing appears on your maps often. It is a seperate community from Stephenville. It would be nice if you could actually mention the name Stephenville Crossing sometime when it shows up on the map.
Keep up the good work

since the weather office have moved back to gander, they have been batting around .500...flipping a coin would be just as accurate...we got about 5cm of snow and no rain today...i looked at the radar this morning and it was obvious this system was going to miss the gander area...yet the weather office still had the warnings out for here...they should have a header on top of their warnings saying...50 percent chance of accuracy...but you do a great job ryan...mainly because you rely on more than just the gander weather office...also i give you 100 percent for presentation...keep up the good work...

I'm going to predict the biggest snowstorm of the year for Western Newfoundland and maybe all of Newfoundland for next weekend. Maybe it's wishful thinking but I like what I see coming this way. No forcast I can see predicts this, but time will tell!
