Christmas Time!

Hey Folks,

It's hard to believe it's that time of year again. I hope you're all ready for the holiday season. Here's what you need to know Weather wise over the next few days.

24TH & 25TH- HIGH PRESSURE SINKS SOUTH
-The track that this High is sinking South could be better. The way it will work in over the next 2 days or so will keep the Northeast Coast of Newfoundland and the Coast of Labrador under quite a bit of cloud cover.
-In fact, folks along the Northeast Coast could be greeted with some flurries for both Christmas Eve. and Christmas Day. Will it be enough to cover up some of that bare grass showing? I think the best chance for that will be in Central from Clarenville to the Humber Valley where you could see 1-2 cm. Everyone else is looking at a trace.
-Sunny Breaks. If you're along the Northeast Coast for both the 24th and 25th, as I mentioned there will be some flurries around. However there will also be some Sunshine peaking through the Clouds as well.

26TH & 27TH- TRUE CLEAR OUT
-As our High slowly begins to sink to the Southeast over the weekend... our true clear out will begin and the Sunshine will become more dominate. That Northerly flow will finally ease and allow those Clouds to lift along the Northeast Coast and into the St. John's area.
-I'm not expecting any precipitation at all over the weekend in Newfoundland. Sunday will be Sunnier than Saturday.
-In Labrador Saturday looks fantastic... Sunday a few flurries will push their way in from our next system.

SYSTEM FOR THE 28TH & 29TH
-I'm watching a system brewing up in the U.S. Midwest today which will make it's way into our neck of the woods early next week.

-Now this system is almost a week away, so it's tough to say just where this thing will track and what it will bring, however it certainly has the potential to bring some decent Snowfall amounts to some parts of the Province.
-The forecast track has actually been fairly consistent, however the strength of the storm has been pretty variable depending on the model. With that said I've put this graphic together to give you folks who will be traveling an early look at what could be on the way.

-Again keep in mind that we're still 5 days out and this could change.

Make sure you tune into Here & Now tonight for the full 90 minute show. Christmas Eve we will be on from 6 to 6:30 and then we're back on the 28th with another full 90 minute show.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
