I just wanted to give you a quick update on what was once Hurricane Ida. Even though she has lost a lot of her strength, Ida's remnants are still hammering the East Coast of the U.S. as a powerful storm.

Take a look at some of the impressive Storm totals so far. These are in INCHES!!

As you can see, more than half a foot of rain in some places over the past few days!

SLOWLY WORKING NORTH

Although Ida herself won't be working North into our Province... it appears a good chunk of her energy and moisture will end up here. As we work into Saturday a weak system working across the Praries and into the Great Lakes will actually tap into Ida's moisture and draw it North up into the Maritimes and then our neck of the woods for Sunday and into Monday.

It looks like Southeastern Labrador and the Island will see the eventual Rain from the juiced up system on Sunday and Monday. And although it's still early to tell how much rain we'll see, it appears 20-30 mm could fall in some places.
