Now there's going to be a few wet flurries mixing in with showers for a good portion of the day today and into this evening as well. HOWEVER the good news is, you're clearing out overnight and tomorrow you should get back up to double digits at 10 degrees. Saturday looks really good for you folks with Sun and Cloud and 13 or 14 degrees! So there's light at the end of your snowy tunnel.

DANNY UPDATE

Danny-Aug27.JPG

There's not much change in Tropical Storm Danny today. He's stil fairly unorganized, however slowly moving into more favorable conditions over the next 24 hours.
The jury is still out on whether he will strengthen into a Category One Hurricane. The National Hurricane Centre is saying that there is a 30-35% chance Danny will be a Cat 1 Hurricane Friday night-Saturday.

The current forecast track is showing Danny as a Cat 1 on Friday night, before weakening and hitting the Maritimes as a Tropical Storm on Saturday.

The track then brings the storm up into Newfoundland on Sunday night and Monday morning, still as weaker Tropical system. However, I've added the spagetti plots to show you all the model runs which are tracking Danny Southeast of Newfoundland and out to sea.

Either way, it's looking more and more like Danny will NOT be a huge threat to the Province. I think some Rain and Wind will be coming in on Sunday however, it's looking more and more like a good old Fall type storm at this point.

I'll keep you in the loop with another blog update on Friday.

Ryan
