Hey Folks,
A quick weekend update for you. Our system which is tracking in from the North is indeed coming in quicker than originally thought.
As a result, Western Newfoundland will begin to see the showers as early as tonight... with the showers spreading East from there.
Here's how things will break down...
TONIGHT

Showers and thunderstorms are on the menu tonight in Labrador as that trough hangs out. In Newfoundland, showers will push onto the South and West Coast and even into parts of Central as we move into the early morning hours.
SATURDAY

Morning showers are in the forecast for everyone in Newfoundland. However as this system passes to the East... you folks in Western Newfoundland could actually see some sunshine in the afternoon. By supper time Central could see Mr. Sunshine as well... however I think it's going to remain pretty cloudy and showery in the East tomorrow. That said, 5 mm is all this system will bring. It's looking pretty weak.
That trough will finally start to clear out of Labrador... however I think the clouds and showers will hold for most of the day.
SUNDAY

High pressure kicks in the West and things are looking good for everyone.
Temperatures will be a bit cool in Central and Eastern Newfoundland thanks to a Northerly wind flow. 17-19 degrees might be it. The West Coast will be a bit shielded from that flow and could get to 23.
In Labrador temperatures will be in the Low 20's and a Mix of Sun and Cloud looks promising.
Have a great weekend.
Ryan
