Tracking 2 Systems
Hey folks, Just a few points as we head towards the weekend... -Our system moving in today will drop as much 20-30 mm in Central and Western Newfoundland by Friday at Noon. -Eastern Newfoundland will miss the rain AGAIN! Looks like no more than 10 mm. -Newfoundland will clear Friday afternoon. -Labrador will slowly clear out overnight and Friday is looking good for you folks. -Our next system will track in overnight Friday into Labrador... and throughout the day on Saturday in Newfoundland. The Western Island will be showery most of the day on Saturday, with Central getting into the action Saturday afternoon and Eastern Newfoundland Saturday night. -Some lingering morning showers will clear with some afternoon sunshine in Newfoundland on Sunday. -Labrador will be showery on Saturday as well, with some clearing on Sunday. Everyone should see a taste of Sunshine on Sunday with still the chance of a shower. ***Our weekend system is looking quite weak. I would say right now in Newfoundland no one will see any more than 10 mm. Eastern Labrador could top out around 15-20 mm, which would be a nice shot. In Western Labrador, 5-10 mm is on the menu. Great job on the forecasts! You do a fantastic job in explaining what is going on with our wacky weather, rather than just tell us the expected temperature and precip. Who knew that Low Pressure System spins counter clockwise?!?!
Now for the favour - while the recreational fishery is on (until Aug 16, and then again Sept 25 to Oct 6), many NLers are highly concerned about the wind, and I am hoping that you can provide more focus on coastal winds in your blog during that time. Most of us won't let rain or cold keep us from getting out on the water, but the wind is another story.
Thanks and keep up the great work!
So happy you're back. Here & Now is not the same without your great forecasts. We look forward to them every night and I know lots of people who are now tuning into Here & Now, in great part, due to your weather forecasts.
