Showery Weather Moves In
Hey Folks, Sorry for the lack of blog posts over the past couple of days. I've been filling in for Colleen Jones on the Newsworld Morning show... and haven't had much time for blog writing. I thought I'd start with a quick mention that FINALLY today St. John's, The Extreme Northeast Avalon and the most of Southern Shore has cleared out and is seeing some sunshine. The past few days the winds have been East Southeasterly and that has kept the clouds hanging on along the Coast. Work a little inland, and it's been fantastic. Here's an amazing Satellite shot from yesterday from NASA'S MODIS website which shows just what I mean... And today you can see, it's cleared out nicely in St. John's CLOUDING UP So for most of the Province, we've had a great run of the Weather this week. Sunshine and warm temperatures under this area of High pressure which has been keeping up protected from all the Clouds and Showers just off to our Southwest. It's been a terrible week for Ontario, Quebec and the Martimes all because the Low sitting over them can't exit out past our strong High. Well, that's all about to change starting Friday. Our area of High pressure will slide far enough to the Southeast, that it will allow the Low to come through bringing Clouds and showers for everyone. Friday and Saturday are looking cloudy and unsettled with scattered showers off and on, while both the American and Canadian models are bringing the steadier Rain in for Sunday and into Monday. Whether we start to clear out Tuesday or Wednesday of next week remains to be seen. More on Here & Now tonight! Ryan Your Comments
