I'm Back
Hey Folks, I'll let you know that I had a great vacation. We headed out to Gros Morne for 4 days and it was spectacular! I took about a thousand pictures, but I wanted to show you just a few of my favorites. After hiking all the way up Gros Morne Mountain, this was the sight waiting on the other side.... Ten Mile Pond. On our hike into the Western Brook Pond Boat Tour... I spotted this Moose just off the trail... less than 10 yards away. I think she thought she was invisible to us hiding in the brush. And what a light show we were treated to yesterday on our way home. Driving through Grand Falls-Windsor and Gander we drove through some impressive Thunderstorms. Now, that system has kicked out to the Atlantic and I'm now watching 2 systems which are tracking in from the West. -The first system is already bringing showers and Thunderstorms to Western Labrador. You folks could pick up as much as 20 mm in localized Thunderstorms. Now, those showers will spread into Eastern Labrador tonight with a 5-10 mm shot and then Western Newfoundland tomorrow afternoon. -Central and Eastern Newfoundland will get into the action overnight Thursday and into Friday. -This could be a 20-30 mm shot for Western Newfoundland. 10-20 mm for Central and 10-15 mm for Eastern sections. -Our next system looks like a late Saturday and early Sunday system for the bulk of the Province. I'll take a closer look at that system later here on the blog so check back for that! Ryan Your Comments
