Quick Update on Next Week

Hey Folks,

I'm just putting the forecast together for tonight's show... so I don't have much time here. However I did want to pass along some thoughts on next week.
Lately on CBC radio, on Here & Now and even here on the blog today I've been talking about this unsettled pattern perhaps sticking around into next week. However, I also mentioned that the American model has been showing signs of clearing thanks to a High sinking in from the North. Well, I just wanted to let you know that both Afternoon runs of the American and Canadian models were really strong with the idea of that High sinking down and clearing us out for either late in the weekend or early next week.

Even the European forecast model has jumped on board with this idea.

I know MANY of you have holiday plans for next week... so perhaps some good news for you. Again no guarantees, but some hope at least. I'll keep you updated.

Just wanted to pass that along... see you tonight.

Ryan

Tonight you talked about "muggy" weather. Makes me wonder when you're going to announce a humidex, along with the daily summer temperatures. I'm emailing from Toronto but we have a house in Eatport, NL, where we spend our summers and I'm a proud Newfoundlander. Just curious as to why you don't include the humidex in your daily forecast. Keep up the good work!

Hey Ryan,

You might want to get the link to the NL Weather blog placed back on the main news page, it seems to have been "washed" away with all this rain. =) Bookmarking now!

Its always fun to get your persepective as it is definitely more accurate than normal.

Keep up the great work!

David

Hello Ryan If you want to see unbelievable icebergs go ghostcod.com and look under pictures. They were added recently.

Hi Ryan,

I am a weather watcher and usually tune in for your weather forecast. Your weather report is broad in scope and you do a good job of covering all parts of the Island and Labrador. However, I am from Harbour Breton on the Connaigre Peninsula (Coast of Bays Region) and this part of the island is often overlooked. You do mention St. Alban's on occasion but this weather watcher would like to see a little more detail provided for our part of the coast.

Thanks.
