Newfoundland Cools... Labrador Warms

Newfoundland Cools... Labrador Warms

This week things are going to be evening out a little bit across the Province. You folks in Labrador who have been experiencing unseasonably cool weather for the last few weeks will finally warm up a bit. At that same time Newfoundland, which has been pretty warm for the last few weeks will finally see a cooler shot, with temperatures below seasonal.

Here's what's going on...

That Low pressure system is bringing scattered showers across the entire Province today... with another chance of showers for tomorrow.

For Wednesday and into Thursday that area of High pressure will sink in from the North. That will slowly clear things out.... however in Newfoundland the winds will be in from the North which means temperatures will remain cool (around the 9-11 degree mark).

At the same time Labrador will actually get into a bit of Southerly flow and will warm up late week into the mid-teens. Much better than what you've been seeing the last little while.

I'll keep you updated.

Just like to say that there was water spout down by the Marine Lab today. It was visible from Stavanger Drive as a giant black cloud (that was touching ground somewhere) At first we thought it was just moving upwards until we saw it spin a little. By the time we got to the Marine Lab it had disappeared and left a low cloud by the water.
