A Damp Start to the Week
Hey Folks, I hope you had a great weekend! In Newfoundland... those farmers who have been looking for some rain will finally see some wet stuff this week. That said, I don't think it will be quite the shot they're looking for. Here are my points as we march through the next couple of days. -A Big Low pressure system which has been developing just East of the Maritimes is finally beginning it's track to the North today. As a result we're seeing a nice day in Central and the West Coast, however the Clouds and showers are slowly pushing in from Southeast to Northwest. -In Labrador you have a weak front making it's way across your neck of the woods today and that's bringing a few showers and maybe even a thunderstorm late today and in through the overnight tonight. You're looking at sunshine tomorrow with the chance of a pop-up shower or thunderstorms with all the day time heating. Temperatures will be between 25 and 27 in the South!!! -Rain will really ramp up through the overnight tonight in Newfoundland with perhaps 5 mm of accumulation in general across the Island. -Tuesday looks wet for everyone in Newfoundland as well. While Wednesday will still be unsettled as well. For the next 2 days in terms of accumulation... you can see below the American model and the Canadian model are pretty similar... however the American is just a bit further West and North with the bulls-eye. So here's what I'm thinking in terms of totals from Tonight-Wednesday night. Eastern Newfoundland 10-20 mm -Thursday could also be a damp day in Newfoundland, however in terms of rainfall amounts... it's a little tough to say. There's a lingering line of moisture which will work to the North with this system... the jury is still out on whether it will work North by crossing the Island... or whether it will be offshore. See you tonight on Here & Now. Oh and by the way... if you're interested I'll be making an appearance on Out of the Fog tonight with Paddy Daly and Krissy Holmes. You can check that out on Rogers TV.
