Hey folks,
A quick update on what will truly be one of the best day's of 2009... so far... for a good portion of the Province.
SUNSHINE, SUNSHINE AND MORE SUNSHINE
-The Island of Newfoundland will be seeing mostly Sunny skies with temperatures pushing 20 degrees from Coast to Coast. That is, if you're away from the Coast... and it's cool breeze.
-Eastern Labrador will be basking in the sunshine as well. The High is Happy Valley Goose Bay should hit 18 degrees by far your warmest day so far this year.
-Along the Coast... South of Groswater Bay 14 or 15 degrees... North of the Bay... 5-10 degrees.
-In Western Labrador... you'll see a mostly cloudy day with afternoon showers pushing in. 14 or 15 degrees.
The holiday long weekend is looking a bit better than it did 24 hours ago. We're still going to be dealing with some wet weather... however... the models have backed off on the cooler temperatures coming into Newfoundland for Sunday/Monday.
FRIDAY
-That system sliding into Western Labrador will continue pushing East into Eastern Labrador and Western Newfoundland for Friday. Temps between 9 and 12.
-Increasing Clouds for Central and Eastern Newfoundland. Temps between 15 and 17.
SATURDAY
-Saturday morning, Central and Eastern Newfoundland could see a few morning showers... however the sun should make an appearence in the afternoon everywhere in Newfoundland. 13-15 degrees.
-Mostly Cloudy in Labrador on Saturday 8-10 degrees.
SUNDAY
-Sunday still looks like a showery wet day in Labrador and Western Newfoundland with another system sliding in from the West. 8-10 in Labrador. 12 in Western Nfld.
-Central and Eastern Newfoundland, increasing clouds with a chance of afternoon showers. 13-15 degrees.
MONDAY
-Looks like another wet day in Labrador with a chance of showers in the East... and maybe even some wet flurries in the West.
-In Newfoundland... a Cold front crossing the Island looks to be slow moving and so scattered showers are in the forecast for now. However temperatures of 12 to 15 degrees.
Again, I'll continue to update you on the latest forecast as the models update over the next few days.
See you tonight on Here & Now.
