Clearing Out Into Tuesday... For Everyone!
Hey folks,
I hope you enjoyed the weekend.
It's a crazy Monday across the Province... with 3 very different weather stories happening.
1. There's a Cold front hanging out just off the Coast of the Avalon and that will continue to fire showers up in the East this afternoon and into this evening.
Here's a look at the St. John's, Patty's Pond webcam from this afternoon.

2. It's a VERY nice day in Central and Western Newfoundland with the sunshine and temperatures around 14-16 degrees!!!
Here's a look at the Marble Mountain webcam from this afternoon...

3. In Labrador, a weak trough is hanging out and that's been firing up some Snow in the South. Labrador City and Happy Valley-Goose Bay have both been seeing the snow today... that should change to showers later this afternoon.

TUESDAY
As we march into Tuesday the entire Province will have the same thing on the Menu. SUNSHINE!!!
High pressure is quickly sliding in from the West and that's going to clear us out through the overnight and into Tuesday. As a result everyone is going to be seeing the sunshine.
However temperatures will be a bit different depending on where you are...
St. John's and Eastern Newfoundland: 9 or 10 degrees
Central Newfoundland: 12 degrees
Western Newfoundland: 6 or 7 degrees
Northern Peninsula/SE Labrador: 3 or 4 degrees
Eastern Labrador: You'll get into a Southerly flow in the afternoon and you could hit 10 or 11 degrees.
Western Labrador: Again, afternoon Southerly flow could bring you to 8 or 10 degrees.
WEDNESDAY
Enjoy Tuesday because we have a system developing in the Eastern U.S. and it will quickly move in behind our area of High pressure and will bring some wet weather into Newfoundland on Wednesday.
Southwestern Newfoudland will see showers by Wednesday afternoon. Central around supper time and the Northeast will be wet into the evening.
Labrador you should miss this system for the most part.
I'll have more details tomorrow here on the blog and tonight on Here & Now.
