A PEAK AT THE WEEKEND

Hey Folks,

Well, it's Wednesday. Time to take a look ahead at the weekend. If you've been reading the blog this week you already know I'm watching a nice juicy system in the U.S. South which looks like it's going to rolling into our neck of the woods just in time for Saturday.

I'm going to give you a look at what each model is showing for both Saturday and Sunday... but it's not looking to pretty right now.

SATURDAY
This is looking like the wetter of the 2 days right now. Both the Canadian and American model are bringing the system about same time on Saturday morning. The American model is a bit quicker with it... but also a bit heavier with the rainfall. Showing the bulls eye for the North Avalon with a decent 30 mm. Again the American is quick with the system, showing some clearing for Saturday night... however that's could work against us for Sunday. More on that in a second.

The Canadian model is showing the rain coming in just a little bit later. And showing a little less rain but still a decent shot.

SUNDAY
Because the American is earlier with the system, Saturday night and Sunday morning aren't looking too bad across the Province. However the American is brining a second Low and pulse of Rain into Newfoundland for Sunday afternoon. That would be a very wet afternoon for Newfoundland. A few showers could be poking around in Labrador... but also some sunshine would be on the menu as well.

The Canadian model, again is showing the clearing out on Sunday morning... with a nice break Sunday afternoon. You can see that second low off to the Southwest is much weaker... and later as well. This model doesn't bring that shot of Rain into the Province until Sunday... and also tracks it much further West.

So obviously there are some things to iron out, however things are looking fairly wet at this point. Temperatures on Saturday between 9 and 11 degrees and Sunday between 13 and 15.
