WARMER AIR!!!!

Hey Folks,

I hope you had a great weekend... it was certainly nice to see the sunshine... even though it was a bit on the cooler site. Today, the sunshine pretty much dominating from Nain to Cape Race and from Labrador City to St. John's.
There's an area of High pressure sitting over Western Labrador and that's the reason for all the sunshine... however it's also helping to push the winds in from the Northwest... so temperatures remain at... or a touch below seasonal in most cases.

As we march towards Tuesday... our area of High pressure will slide to the Southeast and that will help switch the Winds in from the South for MOST of the Province. I don't think Eastern Newfoundland will get into that Southerly flow until Tuesday night/Wednesday... however winds will be lighter and so temperatures will be a bit warmer than they are today.
Western Labrador- Between 10-12 degrees!
Happy Valley Goose Bay- 8 degrees
Labrador Coast- Between 2-4 degrees
Western Newfoundland- 9 degrees
Central Newfoundland- 8 or 9 degrees
Eastern Newfoundland- 6 degrees

Now, you can already see in the corner of the screen... our system coming in for Wednesday and into Thursday. I think Labrador could actually see a bit of Wet Snow in the early morning hours on Wednesday... however this system is pretty much a Rain maker for entire the Province. With winds really pumping in from the South, temperatures could rise to close to... or actually hit double digits for almost everyone from Lab City to Cartwright and South across Newfoundland on both Wednesday and Thursday.
Looks like the steadiest rainfall will move in on Thursday.

I'll keep you updated... and I'll more info tonight on Here & Now.
