It's crazy, that not one single temperature record was broken over the weekend. A few close calls... but not quite.

So it's back to reality today. Our Cold front crossed the Island yesterday/last night and things are feeling much cooler today and winds are pretty much in from the Northwest. As we march forward over the next 24 hours, I'm tracking a system which is rolling out of the Great Lakes and will move into our Province overnight tonight and into Tuesday and Wednesday.

TUESDAY
Snow... yes Snow will start falling in Western Labrador tonight. You folks could actually pick up 5 cm by tomorrow morning... with some light flurries on Tuesday. Although they'll be light... few flurries will be falling through Eastern Labrador on Tuesday as well. You folks along the Northern Peninsula could pick up 5 cm on Tuesday as well. Western and Central Newfoundland could see some Wet Snow early Tuesday... however you should change over to showers as the day rolls along you folks could pick up 5-10 mm. Eastern Newfoundland will see some spotty showers Tuesday... but nothing more than 5 mm.

WEDNESDAY
Tuesday night and Wednesday this system will tap into the moisture from the Atlantic. I think that's when Newfoundland will see some steadier Rains and Southeastern Labrador see a good coating of Snow. 5-10 cm wouldn't be out of the question.
As we move throughout the day on Wednesday we'll see some gradual clearing into Thursday... HOWEVER VERY CHILLY TEMPERATURES! High's of Zero across Newfoundland on Wednesday and below Zero in Labrador.

Thursday we'll recover a bit... but things will remain cooler than normal.

More details tonight on Here & Now.

Hi Ryan,

How refreshing to have a weather person who knows what he is talking about, rather than someone who simply passes on what comes from Environment Canada. Keep up the good work!
