Weekend Preview

Hey folks,

First of all, I want to say to you poor souls on the Labrador Coast and even inland around Lake Melville who have been getting pounded by Snow and Wind for the last 3 or 4 days... relief is in sight! Friday looks Sunny for all of Labrador.... and actually the entire Province is looking at Sunshine in some way shape or form tomorrow.

Alright, as promised... here's a quick preview for a system coming in on Saturday. Looks like widespread snow across the Island and Southern Labrador... however NOT a huge shot... 5-10 cm looks good at this point. Perhaps as much as 15 cm in some places... but that will be the most.
Here's a bit of a time line for you. The Snow will push into Western Labrador Friday evening... and then Eastern Labrador and Western Newfoundland Friday night.

SATURDAY
By Saturday morning... pretty much the whole Province will be seeing Snow.... with some of the steadiest snow in Western and Central Newfoundland.

Saturday Afternoon, the Snow will begin to taper off in Western Labrador and will be ramping up in Eastern Newfoundland.

By Late Saturday Afternoon and into the Evening, looks like enough warm air will wrap into this system to bring temperatures change the Snow over to some Freezing Drizzle and Light Showers for the Southcoast, the East and maybe even into Central.

SUNDAY
We're going to be clearing out for Sunday across the Province... with everyone seeing at least a taste of sunshine and temperatures around the freezing mark on the Island... and about -5 in Labrador.

MONDAY
All indications are... that we have another system coming up the St. Lawrence for Monday and into early next week. This one looks like it could have a bit more moisture than our weekend system... I'm watching it closely and I'll talk more about tomorrow here on the blog.
