MESSY STORM WORKS NORTH

Hey folks,

Here's what's going on.... the warm front that brought all of that Freezing Rain to Eastern Newfoundland is now working Northwest and bringing the Freezing Rain and Drizzle with it. It's all Snow on the backside of this system.

TONIGHT
Mar2-2.JPG
The warm front works North bringing Snow and Ice Pellets to the Northern Peninsula and The Straits... even as far North as Cartwright. The rest of Labrador will really start to pick up the Snowfall overnight. It's all Rain South of the front through Corner Brook and the Western & Central Island, Light Drizzle for the East.

TUESDAY
Mar2-3.JPG
The Snow continues for Labrador. 5-10 cm for the West and up to 30 cm for the Coast with Happy Valley Goose Bay likely picking up 15 cm. The Rain across the Island will spread East through out the day bringing some decent Rainfall amounts to the South coast. 30-40 mm isn't out of the question.

TUESDAY NIGHT
Mar2-4.JPG
Yes more Snow for Labrador... although it will be a bit lighter. The Rain for the West Coast will start to clear out... however the East will just be getting started. The Burin, Terra Nova and East will start to see some steady Rain beginning Tuesday evening... Tuesday overnight... Wednesday and even Wednesday night. Things are looking very wet for a good 24 hour period where perhaps as much as 30 mm could fall.

The full story tonight on Here & Now.

Any news on the lighting flash last night approx 9:10pm. It was wild with no thunder! Scary. (Bay Roberts area)

I seen this flash of light as well. How could you not???? There was no clap of thunder, that followed, and there was no other flashes after just that one BIG flash. Surprised it doesn't have more coverage in this mornings news. It was a very significant flash of light, that apparently no one can explain. Hmmmmmmm???

We saw it too. Lasted longer than a normal flash, perhaps close to a second. Wondered about debris from 2009 DD 45 as it moved away from our gravitational field... (Pouch Cove)

Hey, I like the man who does this weather. He is pretty good. Good Job making it this far, Ryan.
