Sticking Around...

Hey folks,

Just off the top here... in case you missed it tonight...we announced on the show that I am indeed sticking around to do Weather on Here & Now... beyond June.
I'm extremely delighted to be part of this amazing team and show and I'm just really excited that I'm going to get the opportunity to stay on and present you the best weather forecast I can. This is a great and also CRAZY Province to try and forecast the weather... there's never a dull moment... and I love it.
I want to say thanks to the wonderful Krysta Rudofsky who is 100 percent behind me and has been so supportive helping me settle in here and I can't wait to work with her when she returns to the Here & Now team and of course Living NL in June.
I also want to say thanks to each and every one of you who called in to feedback and posted your comments here on the blog... your kind words have really been appreciated and I thank you again.

Alright onto the Weekend.

As this Low pressure Centre exits off to the Northeast tonight we're going see that trough... along the backside of this system... sink South across Northwestern Newfoundland. This trough is going to bring some decent Snowfall amounts Saturday and overnight into Sunday morning for the Northwestern part of the Island and into Central as well. There are Snowfall Warnings in place for Green Bay-White Bay and The Eastern side of the Northern Peninsula. However, Environment Canada says expect those Warning areas to expand as Sunday's forecast comes better into light.

Here's a bit of a time line for you...

SATURDAY MORNING

SATURDAY EVENING- This is where the Snowfall will really ramp up in the Northwest part of the Island.

Have a great weekend everyone.

Hi Ryan,
Great news indeed !!! I only wish my grandfather was alive to hear you report on the weather. He likely would say that you are probably better than Karl Wells ! You have an unbelieveable flair for weather forcasting....By the way, where you from ?

Hi Ryan,

Congrats...Congrats...Congrats! I pvr the news every night so I can watch it when I get home. In the winter months my work depends on good weather forecasting. I use to always pvr NTV. Not anymore...I like your analysis especially the animations/timing of incoming systems. Great job and keep it up.

YAY!! I am so excited!! I was actually getting a little worried because I knew it was soon time for Krysta to return. I enjoy watching the weather each night-you certainly keep it upbeat and not-so-boring. I am so glad that the CBC has made room for both you and Krysta!! :)

Hello Ryan,

That's wonderful news indeed. We learned lots about you in The Telegram writeup this weekend. Nice to know that you're enjoying your time here, despite our miserable winter. We are also Toronto Maple Leafs fans.

Now, my daughters are requesting a snow day this coming Wednesday, large enough to close the university too - what are the chances? We heard a weather rumor.

Hi Ryan- Glad to hear that you will be stickign around. You're going a great job!

I'm sure you will talk about it on your blog, but I am really curious about the system coming towards the island for Wednesday? Looking at the models, it seems like a lot of wind and snow....

Thanks,

Scott

We just love to watch and listen to you and it's just the best. CBC has become our fulltime news show because of you. All the best.

When Karl Wells and Krista R. left I thought, "the weather hour will never be the same, no one can equal their finesse", but not to worry, Ryan is in command. You do a great job Ryan. Glad to hear you're staying on. You make even bad weather forecasts enjoyable.

Congratulations Ryan- we are so happy to hear you will continue broadcasting the weather on CBC!! My son Nicholas absolutely loves watching you, and when I spike the front part of his hair he says, "I look like Ryan now"! Keep up the great work!!

Congratualtions! I hadn't imagined you were still temporary. It will be nice for the weather forecast to focus on the weather rather than, the newest centenarian, or the dubious distinction of being married over 50 years. Confidentially you would get a greater audience with pin ups.

Hey CBC...
Great supper hour news program!
We have switched from NTV and now enjoy your first rate news, sports and weather. Great to see young stars Ryan, Zac & Natalie complementing Debbie and Jonathan's experience and professionalism. Keep up the good work.

Hi Ryan,

I have been meaning to send a note for a long while to say how wonderful your weather forecasts are and how I really hoped that CBC would keep you on. And I was very, very glad that this good decision was made. Your energy makes me want to watch CBC - it is just enough energy but not over the top, and not an act. Your passion as a weather forecaster is wonderful and you educate us every day with your good range of knowledge about weather systems. 100% behind you.

Thanks
