WINTER STORM FOR THURSDAY

Hey Folks,

You know, I was looking at the forecast models over the weekend... even yesterday morning.... and I was watching a system from the U.S. South which was heading Northeast and then consistantly tracking well off the Coast of Newfoundland on Thursday. Which is why yesterday on the blog... I didn't even think to mention it. However, since yesterday afternoon, the tides have turned and so have the models... bringing the system much further West... and bringing Newfoundland a good looking Winter Storm for Thursday.

That's a look at the American GFS model for Thursday... and the Canadian model is almost the same with it's track.
It looks like you folks in Central... Gander & Grand Falls Windsor you folks could really see a good shot of snow with this thing. Once again Bonavista, Clarenville (I know you're keeping your fingers crossed) the Burin and even the Avalon, you folks again are on that line. The dreaded Rain/Snow line. It looks like now the Avalon and Burin will see a decent shot of Snow followed by late day showers. As far as Clarenville, Bonavista and Terra Nova... the jury is still out. You'll see Snow for sure... but you might change to Rain showers as well.

Here's a very early guess at who could see what.

Again, this is an early guess, and these totals could come down a bit... or up a bit... I'll update you tonight on Here and Now and tomorrow here on the blog.
