Sunday Storm Update
Hey Folks, 24 hours ago... this system we're talking about looked like nothing more than a 5-10 cm shot for areas East of Terra Nova. However, it appears the models were really underdoing the strength and size of this system. As of now, the system is just developing way down South, just off the Coast of the Carolina's. However over the 36 hours this system will really intensify and could blow up into a tight wind blown storm for Eastern Newfoundland. The Canadian model is still showing a smaller system... and a quicker moving system which would bring the totals down a bit. St. John's and the Avalon might see 10-15 cm's by Sunday night. However, the American GFS model is really blowing up a good sized system. Winds Gusting to 90 km/h for the Avalon and Bonavista Peninsula and as much as 15-20 cm's. With 36 hours before the first flakes even touch the ground... this is a very early look at how much Snow we could see. I've tried to cover my bases, taking both the Canadian and American models into consideration. NEXT WEEK I'll keep you up to date. Ryan Your Comments
