I'm Watching 2 Systems...
Hey Folks,
I've got my eye on 2 systems as we head into the weekend....

SYSTEM #1
This is the coastal system which I've been telling you about for days now. It's tracking along as expected and will be moving onto the Island as we move into Friday night-Saturday and lingering into Sunday. Now it's still looking like the Eastern half of the Island will take the brunt of this system.... with local amounts perhaps topping out around 40 mm of rain. I think the best chance for that right now will be the Burin Peninsula and parts of the Avalon.

I don't expect any watches or warnings... however this will be a pretty decent soaker for some.
SYSTEM # 2
This system is in the Plains of the U.S. and working Northeast. It will spread snow on the backside of the system through the Canadian Praries and into Northwestern Ontario where they could also see a lot of Freezing Rain with this thing. Now a lot depends on the exact track of this system... however as it moves into Labrador on Sunday this could be the first decent snowfall event for you folks with 10-20 cm possible into Monday! Again we're still 3 or 4 days away... so this isn't a slam dunk by any means... but I'm watching this one closely.

More tonight on Here and Now.

Absolutely miss your weather reports at CHEX. You were usually right on the money, and when you weren't, we were entertained anyway. Kudos to a natural who truly loves his job!
