2 Different Worlds on Thursday

Hey folks,

Thursday is certainly going to be an interesting day across the Province... with 2 very different types of weather.
We'll have a lingering front which will be the dividing line between cool polar air to the North and a warm southerly flow to the South. Newfoundland & Labrador will be seeing very different weather on Thursday.

The Island will see temperatures well above normal... with the Southwesterly flow helping St. John's perhaps reaching 15 degrees tomorrow!
Central will lilkely see 14 degrees... with some parts of the Western Island reaching 12.
Jump north to Labrador and you'll find winds in from North and a cool air mass pouring in. That will have temperatures falling throughout the day to -3 in the afternoon in Happy Valley Goose Bay and parts of the East. Labrador won't get any warmer than 1 or 2 degrees and all parts of Labrador will likely see flurries.

LOOKING AHEAD
Unfortunetly for the first time in a long while it looks like the weekend ahead will be a wet one for the Island. We have ANOTHER Coastal Storm developing... the 3rd in 3 weeks.... which will again track Northeast and unleash wind and rain for most.

I'm going to give the models another day or so to try and nail this system down before we talk about where and how much. However, right now it looks like the Eastern part of the Island will take the brunt with perhaps around 30 mm's of rain.

Again, I'll have more on this as we march tomorrow the weekend...
