WIND WARNINGS FOR LABRADOR
WIND WARNING IN EFFECT That Low pressure system which I told you about last night on the show... has actually gained a little more strength in the last 12 hours or so. As it moves into Labrador today it will spread showers from West to East. It won't be a huge rain event... generally less than 15 mm across Labrador. It's the wind... which will really wrap around the back side of this system... that is going to be intense. You can see on the model map I've posted below how tightly packed and close together those lines of Pressure are together. That represents a steep pressure gradient OR very strong winds. Full details tonight on Here and Now. Ryan. P.S. I'm watching a potential very windy and very wet Nor Easter type storm... which the models have been continuing to show over the past day or so. They seem to be blowing up in the Southeast U.S. late this week and then moving up the Eastern Seaboard for late this weekend or early next week. I'm keeping and eye on it and I'll keep you posted.
