Enjoy The Weekend Because...
Next week is looking pretty wet and stormy at this point. Let's start with the weekend which for the most part is going to pretty nice. Lots of sunshine for most... however temperatures will be chilly. So make sure you keep that coat and mitts handy. Saturday- Besides some flurries in Labrador East... Saturday is looking Sunny. There's a chance that the Western part of the Island could see a pop-up shower on Saturday thanks to that same front... but the sunshine should be poking through the clouds as well. Sunday-Looks Sunny for the entire Province. Things will remain cool for the Island...with single digit High's. However, Labrador will see a warm up on Sunday with winds shifting in from the Southwest. Full details on the weekend ahead... tonight on Here and Now. Ok, as I mentioned... you should enjoy the weekend... because there seems to be more and more signs pointing to a very unsettled week ahead. The Coastal storm which I've been talking about is still showing up on the models this morning. The Canadian GEM model, for the third straight day is showing a direct hit on the Island late Tuesday into Wednesday. Rainfall amounts over 50mm and very windy conditions. Now, I should mention that the GFS for the past few days, has been showing a strong storm for later in the week.... with the same thing... very strong winds and heavy rain. Things have been pretty quiet for the past week or so... and the models are starting to show signs that things are going to become a little more active. So enjoy the sunshine this weekend!
