Kyle Eyes NL....

Well folks,

Even since last night... the National Hurricane Centre has shifted it's forecast path for Tropical Storm Kyle. This morning the track is now further West.

Indeed, as of today... on most models... this system which will likely be a Post Tropical Storm by the time it arrives on Sunday... looks more and more like it will be a Happy Valley Goose Bay, Eastern Labrador and Straits storm... then anything.

Again, it's the system rolling inland in the Eastern U.S. and Kyle which will hook up as they head North as we move into Sunday.

It's also looking more and more like this will be be a long and drawn out storm... with the leading bands of moisture arriving in Labrador and along the Northern Peninsula on Sunday afternoon... and the system not really exiting from the Province until Tuesday! It's much too early to tell how much rain could fall. However, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and PEI are going to take the brunt of this storm for sure. But some significant rainfall is likely on the way to Labrador as well.

Here's the area I think should keep their eyes and ears pealed as we move into the later parts of the weekend.

50 mm+ is an easy possibility for folks in Eastern Labrador through the Straits, The Northern Peninsula. Even the Western Coast of the Island could end up with a good shot of rain if the track moves back to the East again.

Full details on this system tonight on Here and Now.
