Take a look at the size of this system.... WOW.

This an unusually large system for this time of year, it looks more like a Winter Nor'Easter than it does a summer time storm.
This storm caused wind damage down in the Southern U.S. but has now pushed off shore... and is tracking Northeast at a pretty good pace.

HEAVY RAIN through the overnight tonight and even into the mid-day tomorrow should be expected for the Burin Peninsula and the Avalon Peninsula. Again 50 mm + is expected to fall from Tonight-Friday night.
Clarenville and up the Bonavista Peninsula as well as Terra Nova Park and down to St. Alban's could see 20-40 mm of rainfall.
The Gander and Gambo areas seem to be right around the 10-20 mm line. However, with even the slightest change to the West in the storm track... and you folks could be looking at 20-30 mm range.

Winds will be the other factor with this storm... in from the Northwest... it will playout like this.
Tonight- SE 15-30 km/h Gusting 40 km/h
Tomorrow Morning- NNE- 40-50 Gusting to 80 km/h
Tomorrow Afternoon/Evening- NW- 25-35 Gusting to 50 km/h

Rain will begin to taper off tomorrow afternoon, however winds will continue to gust into the evening.
