Missing some Oxy pills? They've been found
It’s not your typical lost-and-found announcement.
The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary in Corner Brook says a bag of OxyContin pills, 240 of them, were turned in after a worker at a Canadian Tire gas bar found them behind one of the pumps.
While OxyContin is usually prescribed as a powerful painkiller, the RNC said there was no prescription information found with the pills. If they’re meant for legal use, the pills can be picked up.
However, the RNC is quite aware that OxyContin is still popular as a street drug. After all, then-rampant abuse of the drug sparked a task force in 2004 that led to changes in how narcotics are prescribed, among other things.

Vote: What do you make of the findings of Wednesday's TCH spot-check?
Reporter Carolyn Ray got an inside view Wednesday during a random police check on the Trans-Canada Highway near Grand Falls-Windsor. The findings were something else - in just 10 cars, the police found more than three dozen violations. Two of the cars were taken off the roads altogether.
This is the subject for today’s informal survey. Have a look at Carolyn’s piece from Here & Now, and then cast your vote.
