Volunteering some thoughts

The Newfoundland and Labrador government launched a new website on Monday to help promote the volunteer sector. Who Cares? (nice title) invites the public to think about volunteering, as well as to prompt little good feeling in return. Among other things, you can record your thanks to those who give.
The government released some interesting figures with the campaign launch: about 197,000 volunteers in the province donate about 35 million hours of their time. Moreover, about 23,000 people are employed somehow in the not-for-profit sector and with community groups.
