Public-sector reliance?
As you can see above, Newfoundland and Labrador is more dependent than others ... especially so in the last year - which makes sense, given troubles in particular industries dependent on natural resources, like the fishery and forestry, and a recent uptick in the overall unemployment rate.
McLean is a noted non-fan of Danny Williams and the PCs, but the chart nonetheless provides some food for thought.
