Arrow Air, revisited

This Sunday will mark the 25th anniversary of the Arrow Air crash, which has the tragic distinction of being known as the worst air crash on Canadian soil.

The chartered flight was carrying 256 people, all of whom were killed. In addition to a crew of eight, the passengers were U.S. military personnel who had been serving in the Middle East.

The crash was shrouded in controversy, with the official verdict on the cause - ice on the wings - dismissed by aviation experts who were part of the review. Terrorism was immediately suspected, but never proven, although - as the documentary below shows - there is curious evidence, including revelations that were initially kept secret that the men on board had inhaled smoke in their final moments.
