LIVE CHAT: CBC News Community commenting discussion

Categories: Community

si-Commenters-iStock-220.jpg Our new commenting platform, which launched six weeks ago, was well received by our community. It also led to a lively and thoughtful discussion about commenting technologies, moderation guidelines and the role of public conversation in the reporting of news.

We welcome your feedback and suggestions. That's why we hope you will join us this Wednesday at 1 p.m. ET to continue that conversation.

You'll have a chance to ask questions directly to Marissa Nelson, Senior Director, Digital Media, CBC News and Centres and Brodie Fenlon, Managing Editor, Digital, CBC News and Centres. The LIVE CHAT will be hosted and moderated by Andrew Yates, Senior Producer of Community and Social Media at CBC

We strongly believe CBC Community commenters are some of the most thoughtful and insightful people online. That's why we want to hear your questions, suggestions and concerns. We hope you will join us this Wednesday at 1 p.m. ET.

To encourage thoughtful and respectful conversations, first and last names will appear with each submission to CBC/Radio-Canada's online communities (except in children and youth-oriented communities). Pseudonyms will no longer be permitted.

By submitting a comment, you accept that CBC has the right to reproduce and publish that comment in whole or in part, in any manner CBC chooses.
