Great Canadians Near You: Jeremy Dias

Categories: Community

si_greatcanadians.jpgWelcome to Great Canadians Near You, a brand new CBC News Community web series that turns a spotlight on people all over our country who are making a difference.

For our inaugural episode, launched fittingly on Canada Day weekend, we spoke to Jeremy Dias, founder and director of Jer's Vision -- an internationally recognized Youth Diversity Initiative that works to eliminate bullying, homophobia, transphobia, and other forms of discrimination in schools and youth communities.

Jeremy was nominated for this feature via email by Joshua Dias of Sudbury, Ontario for the work he's doing to inspire change and promote tolerance.
