A salute to inspiring citizens on National Aboriginal Day

Categories: Canada, Community

On June 21st, Canadians celebrate National Aboriginal Day - a day to recognize the unique cultures and contributions of our country's First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples.

In the lead up to this year's event, we asked you to tell us about the amazing aboriginal people in your community, and why they inspire you.

Our team had the difficult task of paring down those nominations down to the one's featured in the interactive magazine embedded above. We hope you enjoy the result.

Please feel free to tell us about other inspiring community members in the comments below.
