The CBC 'Spooktober' photo contest

Categories: Community

si_photocontest_spooktober.jpgIf one month out of all 12 had to be deemed Canada's spookiest, most people would agree that October is that month.

Nights get longer, trees become bare, winds howl more strongly and, by the end of the month, ghouls and goblins run rampant in the streets!

For this month's photo contest, we're focusing on things that spook you out.

We're sure you'll have plenty of fodder as Halloween approaches, but this is not strictly a jack-o'-lantern and costume contest.

Dark forests, abandoned barns, lonely graveyards, dank basements, creatures of the night - anything that you find spooky (and also meets our guidelines) will qualify.

Get creative to impress the CBC Community team. We'll be posting your best shots each weekday for the rest of October. At the end of the month, we'll select five finalists and ask you to vote for your favourite!
