Some CBC News Community members will have noticed there's a brand new place to share photos and videos with each other and with newsrooms across the country.  We call it the CBC Your News Community and we hope you'll take a moment to check it out at

Whether you're at the scene of breaking news, caught in a storm, entering our photo contest or have some amazing images of Canada and Canadians, it's never been easier to send and share your pictures.  Once they're quickly approved by our moderators, they will be published online. You never know when you might see some of your great photos and video on CBC News Network or in stories and features at  Our producers, reporters and writers across the country are constantly looking to make our stories better, and the CBC Community contributions make our news coverage stand out.

Your name and the stories you share about your submissions are published with each photo and video, so you will always get credit for your shots. The first time you send us something, you'll be asked to tell us a little bit about yourself.  It doesn't take very long, and once you're done you will have your very own profile on the CBC Your News Community.  From then on, Canadians and journalists across the country will be able to comment on your submissions, tell you they like them, and share them on blogs and social media sites.

Since we launched a couple of weeks ago, we've already had some amazing photos and video from the supermoon, Mother's Day, the royal visit, and our monthly photo contest, plus a lot of really great shots from news events across the country.  If you have a moment to check them out, you won't be disappointed.

So if you haven't already, come join us at the CBC Your News Community.  It's quick to begin, easy to submit and the best way to share your photos and videos with Canadians and newsrooms across the country.
